House 17 is very proud to be a production partner of The Emerson Collective’s Education Initiative: XQ Institute. XQ is the nation’s leading organization dedicated to rethinking the high school experience so that every student graduates ready to succeed in life. H17 has worked with XQ on various projects ranging from the creation of social media materials, to event coverage, to the creation of boardroom materials.
In the Spring of 2021 XQ partnered with JR’s InsideOut project to create the XQ Yearbook – the largest digital yearbook of all time. As a part of this project XQ and InsideOut held events, and installations across the country. H17 was brought in to capture these events through both photography and video, and create artistic recaps for both social and internal purposes.
A vital part of the XQ mission is through student empowerment. This comes in many forms, one being round table discussions. H17 ran video and photo production for the Rhode Island round table discussion which included XQ moderators, current highschool students, recent graduates, and the RI Commissioner of Education.
In the Fall of 2021 XQ held a large event in partnership with the State of Rhode Island at the Providence Waterfire Festival. Raising awareness and promoting engagement was the mission. H17 was tasked to create a full video and photography recap of the event.
