Nestled in the serene foothills of Southern Vermont’s Green Mountains, The Hermitage Inn was renowned for decades as a rustic treasure in hospitality opulence. After holding its place for years as a New England institution, an ownership change and mismanagement led to a complete closure of the Inn. Now, with the Hermitage under new ownership and management once again, H17 has had the opportunity to team up with ADV Hospitality and devise a plan to fully rebrand and relaunch the Inn. Our approach was designed to instill nostalgia and comfort, while still providing an avante garde edge lending a feeling of youth and longevity.

At the heart of the rebrand was the development of a new logo, typeface, brand colors, and voice. We worked to put together The Hermitage Inn brand book, continuing our storytelling of the identity and ethos of the Inn. After the brand book had been created, we had our north star.

Our next task was to bring the rebrand to life. We began this process through the development and production of a brand essence video and photography package. The piece was aimed to introduce patrons of old and new to the plans, goals and character identity of the new ownership and ethos of the Hermitage Inn.

We continue to tell the Hermitage Inn story through seasonal content refreshes, capturing the year-round beauty of this idyllic New England treasure.
